Frequently Asked Questions
A WiFi analyzer is a tool that scans and displays nearby wireless networks, signal strength, channels, and bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). It helps you choose the best channel, find weak spots, and improve your network performance.
2.4 GHz offers better range and wall penetration; 5 GHz gives faster speeds and less congestion. Use the analyzer to see which band your device is on and switch to 5 GHz when you need speed, or 2.4 GHz for coverage in distant rooms.
Place your router centrally, pick a less crowded channel (the analyzer shows channel usage), use 5 GHz for devices that support it, and keep the router away from thick walls and other electronics. Updating router firmware can also help.
Use the analyzer to find dead zones. Then consider a mesh system or range extender, place the main router in a central spot, and use 2.4 GHz for far-away devices. Avoid obstructions and interference from microwaves or baby monitors.
